Sadly, it is known that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are more likely to die by suicide than other groups of people in Australia. I know this statistic all too well, and I want this to change. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with mental illness, but for those around them.
That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for Black Dog Institute's First Nations research and support services. The funds raised will help improve social and emotional well-being and reduce suicide rates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Together, we can make a difference.
Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health as I run 7 marathons in 7 continents for a great cause.

I am a Gunnai and Gunditjmara man and I am going to take on The Great world Race!
What is The Great world Race?
It is an event that takes on 7 Marathons in 7 Days across 7 Continents! That is a total of 295kms of running for the week with roughly 60 hours of flying time...
Why am I doing it?
I want to use my running as a platform to show people that its ok to ask for help and mental health issues are something that can be managed and/or overcome.
I have struggled with Mental Illness and still do.
Being and Aboriginal man and working in construction I am within the highest risk factors in the world, I want to show others that statistics can be changed and its up to us change the mindset.
Mental illness isn't something that you should be ashamed of, you can live a happy life and do things you may never have thought were possible.
together we can break the stigma around mental illness.
